HELP~I don't know what is wrong....?

My computer is doing weird things...the screen flashed and got really big(the fonts/icons/etc) then, they got really small. I changed the DPI to make the fonts larger, but it hasn't changed the screen back to normal. What do I do? What happened? My sis in law said it had something to do with Active X or a game that may have been played that caused my computer screen to display something different than before~I don't know...it was fine, until my step son was on it, and now, it is messed up. How do I fix it?

Thanks in advance! XXOHELP~I don't know what is wrong....?
Some games use lower screen resolution like 800x600.

Suppose you have a normal desktop resolution of 1024, then you start a game. The game will temporarily change the resolution to 800 to fit its display. When you exit the game it will again change the resolution back to 1024.

Suppose during the run of game, u went back to desktop somehow with game already open, u will momentarily see the desktop in 800 resolution i.e big icons.

There is nothing wrong in it.

If it happens everytime automaticall then it shows u are having low memory, try increasing ur RAM or u can increase your virtual memory.

This article can help u increase virtual memory

According to what you have described it seems to be something with your screen resolution. DO this

Right click anywhere on your desktop and goto properties. Here you will see many tabs goto to the last one settings, in that tab you will see a slider that says screen resolution, You may have a very high screen resolution on. Try and reduce the resolution by moving the slider left and clicking Apply. Find the resolution that satisfies you. Hope that helps.
Get to your desktop display, and right click on an open area of it and select Properties. This will open Display Properties. Now Click on the last tab on the top... this is Settings.... You want to really change your display size. Bet its running in 1024x768. You can reduce it to 800x600. Yuck for games and sych, but easier to read text and such.
When my son plays games and that happens I just restart the computer and that clears it up. Sorry that's the only thing I know.
Try reloading your display drivers. Go to 'control panel', then 'system', then 'device manager', then click on 'monitors'. Right click on 'default monitor' or if you see your monitor listed, right click on it. Click 'update driver'. Follow the prompts from there. Restart your computer, and see if that helped. You may have a nuisance virus. Run a full anti-virus scan in safe mode, and normal mode. Good luck!

(Thanks for the hugs and kisses)
i am sorry i dont to tell you to do something and your computer get worst
