How to make screen size normal?

i have a dell pc with vista and yesterday i updated it to service pack 1 and now the text and internet explorer pages have shrunk . pages like this are now slim and dont cover the whole screen like they used to also icons like my msn messenger icon have become blurry looking like their not sharp. i've tried change the Dpi size its currently at the higher one and i've even tried custom and making it bigger but then it gets blurry and i have to squint to read . i've got a 22'; LCD Flat Panel if thats important HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How to make screen size normal?
You need to go to settings, display and screen resolution. I'm not sure what one you'll need to pick, but try them all and you'll find the right one. Try the biggest resolution first.
