Screen Resolution = small icons?

Hello everybody, I have a problem with my screen resolution, I was using 600x800 but I needed to change it to 1024x768 because I installed a program needed this particular resolution, BUT NOW the items and icons are too small, I have 17inch screen but still the icons are too small.

I change DPI into 100dpi but the icons looked wired and stretched.

So, How can I increase items size without changing the screen resolution?!!!Screen Resolution = small icons?
Go to Display in Control Panel, then click on Appearance Tab, then click on Advanced Button.

In the ';Item:'; dropdpown box select Icon and then change the size from the standard 32 to something larger that suits your taste.

Click OK then OK again then click anywhere on the desktop, but not on an Icon and press the F5 key, the F5 key refreshes the screen and adjust the Icon Spacing to deal with the new size you've chosen, rearrange your Icons as you plesae from there.

Right-click an empty portion of the screen and select Properties from the menu. Click the Appearance tab and then click the Advanced settings.

Use the drop box and click on ICON then use the up or down arrows to increase or decrease the size of the icons ... (32 is usually the norm)

Also, you can adjust the size of the fonts for icons and menus here.

Good luck!
Go to your display settings and click the tab ';settings';. Under that tab, there is a moveable arrow that you can change your resolution too. If the current settings are 600x800 then you need to bring the arrow over 1 time to the closest spot on the right.

*Note: To get to the display settings, go to the control panel and click on the icon that says ';Display Settings';.
